FRMAC Working Groups

As mandated by the Federal Radiological Emergency Response Plan, the U.S. Department of Energy will establish a Federal Radiological Monitoring and Assessment Center (FRMAC) should a potential or major radiological emergency arise. To maintain its capabilities for implementing a FRMAC, the U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration Nevada Field Office's mission is to develop and maintain plans and procedures, and to identify and train resources and personnel to ensure an effective response to any major radiological emergency occurring at any location within the United States. To fulfill these programmatic requirements, six FRMAC Working Groups have been established.

Each FRMAC Working Group is responsible for the development and identification of plans, standards, procedures, guidelines and resources that will enable the effective and efficient operation of a FRMAC, in the case of a radiological incident. These groups are comprised of representatives from the various federal agencies who participate as emergency responders. Below you find meeting times for each working group.

If you would like to receive more information on a certain working group, receive conference call minutes from these working groups, etc. please contact the working group chair directly to be added to their contact lists.
