The
Radiological/Nuclear Countermeasures Test and Evaluation Complex
(Rad/NucCTEC) will allow crucial security research to prevent
radiological or nuclear materials that could be used as dirty bombs,
from entering the country. The evaluation of radiation sensors and
detection systems are a few of the activities the complex will support.
The Department of Homeland Security has provided funding to construct
the complex at the Nevada Test Site.
