Rural Residents’ Perceptions of Environmental Activities
at the Nevada Test Site to be Discussed During
Community Advisory Board Meeting
Results from a University of Nevada, Las Vegas study examining rural residents’ perceptions of
environmental activities at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) will be discussed during the November 18, 2009
Community Advisory Board (CAB) for Nevada Test Site Programs meeting. Dr. Helen Neill of the
Greenspun College of Urban Affairs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will provide a briefing and
answer questions regarding the specifics of the survey results.
The 5:00 p.m. meeting will be at the Frank Rogers Auditorium, 755 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, Nevada
and will also include updates from the various CAB committees.
The CAB is a federally-chartered Department of Energy (DOE) advisory board made up of 13
Southern Nevada residents. CAB members meet bi-monthly to study and discuss environmental activities
that take place at the Nevada Test Site and provide recommendations to the DOE Nevada Site Office
Environmental Management Program.
All CAB meetings are open to the public and public participation is encouraged. For additional
